Opened on October 17, 1993, the Thai Labour Museum (TLM) serves the following
functions:
- To inform the public of the history of the Thai labour movement and the
way of life of Thai workers;
- To undertake research and to collect and disseminate information concerning
Thai workers;
- To serve as an information centre and to allow public access to a comprehensive
collection of documents, literature, cassette and video tapes concerning
the Thai labour movement; and
- To serve as a cultural centre where discussions, exhibitions, art and
cultural shows related to the Thai labour movement can be held for workers
and the general public.
TLM has been undergoing major renovation, and is due to be completed by
the end of September this year. The TLM website is scheduled to be launched
at the same time.
In the meantime, we invite you to join our brief online
tour for a quick look at the current TLM.
